Sahajanand -- Nancy Higgins, called Grandmother Standing Bear by her students, has been working in the field of metaphysics for over thirty years. She is a visionary, teacher, metaphysical channel, and magnetic healer. After training for seven years with her mentor, Sally Perry/Spirit Medicine….a part Cherokee Medicine Woman; Nancy now leads Sweat Lodges and Medicine Wheel Vision Quests on a regular basis. Nancy began studying Usui Reiki in the 1980’s and is a Master Teacher of Usui Reiki which she uses in her healing practice. She offers all levels of Reiki training at the Spiritual Healing Temple.

As a certified Reflexologist, Nancy uses Young Living therapeutic essential oils in her work. Working as the Spirit guides her, she may employ her skills as a dowser using a technique called Spiritual Response Therapy which she has used successfully for over 20 years. This work explores the major programs that one has brought into this lifetime to clear and heal.

Nancy has also studied past life regression and soul retrieval which she may use to assist her clients in their healing process. Other modalities used by Nancy in her work may include crystal therapy, toning, and Shamanic breath. Working with Christ energy and her spirit guides, along with the Elohim, Nancy uses her God given abilities to assist others in their spiritual growth, working to bring all to forgiveness and reconciliation…and therefore to Oneness with Creator.

Nancy is an ordained minister with The National Spiritualist Alliance and is a certified medium and healer. She practices Crystal Resonance Therapy and is presently studying with Naisha Ahsian, the author of The Book of Stones.

Nancy is an initiate of the Enlightened Master Swami Parmanand-ji Maharaj of Haridwar, India. Her guru refers to her as having “eyes that see beyond ordinary reality”. She has been to India twice, spending time at an ashram in Haridwar and studying with Swami. In 2008, she received the Initiate Name: Sahajanand, which means "natural bliss."

Following a strong call to Interfaith Ministry, she expects to be ordained by the New Seminary in New York City, in 2009.

After spending 30 years as a teacher in the public schools of New Jersey, Nancy listened to the direction of Spirit and took early retirement to pursue her call to the Ministry of Healing. She holds a MA in Environmental Education.
